Two new 3Shape open dental integrations announced
As a supporter of open workflows, 3Shape is constantly seeking partners to integrate with our solutions. This past week two new integrations were announced.
Integrating with new partners can sometimes be as simple as enabling the acceptance of their .stl files in our software. At other times, it is extremely complicated process that involves a lot of back end programming by both teams.
This week we announced two new and exciting integrations:
vhf Z4 wet-processing milling machine
One was with vhf’s Z4 wet-processing milling machine being validated as a 3Shape Trusted Connection program with our single visit dentistry solution, 3Shape TRIOS Design Studio.
The new integration means doctors using TRIOS Design Studio can now mill in-house high precision crowns, inlays and onlays, veneers and 3-unit bridges with the Z4. The Z4 includes a high frequency spindle for up to 100,000 RPM and restorations can made from blocks of glass ceramics, PMMA, zirconium oxide and composites. The Z4 also finishes prefabricated titanium abutments.

Alineadent Clear Aligners
The second integration announced was with Spain’s Alineadent Clear Aligners. Alineadent now joins the more than forty-five plus orthodontic solution and sleep device providers and three hundred and fifty plus bracket libraries already integrated with the 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner.
